국제 워크숍의 주제는 “URBAN DNA of DAEGU” 이며 대구가 가지고 있는 도시적, 건축적 아이덴티티를 발굴하여 대구의 새로운 발전을 위한 아이디어로 활용하고 다양한 시각과 전공분야의 융합을 통해 창의적인 도시설계 및 건축계획안으로 제안하고자 한다. 워크숍에서 다루는 대상지는 대구광역시 중구 일원의 약 47ha 규모의 구도심 지역이다. 대상지는 동쪽으로 대구역, 서쪽으로 대구 지하철3호선 달성공원역, 남쪽으로 북성로 및 북쪽으로 경부선 철도와 인접하고 있는 영역이다. 대상지는 중심상업지역 및 일부 준주거지역으로 지정되어 있으며, 낙후된 준공업 기능들과 상업 및 주거기능이 혼재해 있다. 공공 및 민간 주도의 도시재생 사업을 통해 일부 지역이 보존되거나 새로운 기능을 담는 공간으로 재탄생해 왔으나, 최근 도심지 역세권 개발 등 재개발 사업 진행으로 인해 기존 도시조직이 급격하게 새로운 공동주택 또는 주상복합단지로 개발되고 있다.
The theme of this international workshop is "URBAN DNA of DAEGU", and we would like to discover Daegu's urban and architectural identities, use them as ideas for new development, and propose creative urban design and architectural plans through fusion of various perspectives and majors. The target area covered by the workshop is the old downtown area of about 47ha in Jung-gu, Daegu. The target area is adjacent to Daegu Station to the east, Dalseong Park Station on Daegu Subway Line 3 to the west, Bukseong-ro to the south, and Gyeongbu Line to the north. The target site is designated as a central commercial area and some quasi-residential areas, and it is a mixture of backward semi-industrial functions and commercial and residential functions. Some areas have been preserved or reborn as spaces containing new functions through public and private urban regeneration projects, but existing urban organizations are rapidly developing into new apartments or residential complexes due to redevelopment projects such as urban area development.
Theme 1_도시설계 I Urban Design
설계 대상지 47 ha 영역에 대한 입체적, 공간적 도시설계를 진행한다. 기존의 도시조직과 건물들 장소가 가지고 있는 자산을 활용하고, 새로운 개발을 위한 구체적인 도시설계 계획안을 작성한다.
성과물 : 마스터플랜, 부분별 계획(도시구조, 건축유형, 오픈스페이스, 교통, 프로그램, 가로공간 등), 조감도 및 주요 공간투시도 등, 작업 스케일 1:2000
A three-dimensional and spatial urban design for the 47 ha area of the design target site is carried out. Utilize the assets held by existing urban organizations and buildings, and draw up specific urban design plans for new development.
Submission : Master plan, partial plan (urban structure, architectural type, open space, traffic, program, street space, etc.), bird's-eye view and major spatial perspective, work scale 1:2000
Theme 2_미군보급창 건물 리모델링 I Remodeling of U.S. Army Supply Depot
대상지는 약 1.8ha 규모의 대상지이며, 1940년대 지어진 약 9개의 미군47보급창 건물이 위치해 있다. 기존 건물의 경사지붕의 형태 및 색상이 특징적이며 오랫동안 현재의 위치에서 시민들에게 인식되고 있다. 이 건축물을 이용하여 새로운 공간과 기능을 담는 계획안을 작성한다.
성과물 : 배치도, 평,입,단면도, 투시도, 매스모형 등, 작업 스케일 1:500
The target site is a target site of about 1.8ha, and about nine U.S. military 47 supply buildings built in the 1940s are located. The shape and color of the inclined roof of the existing building are characteristic and have long been recognized by citizens at the current location. Using this building, a plan containing new spaces and functions is drawn up.

Theme 3_북성로 인근 도시 블록 I Mixed-use Urban Block
대상지 내외로 많은 주상복합 개발이 이루어지고 있다. 사이트는 2.4 ha 규모의 대지로 기존의 삼각형 형태의 도시조직이 특징적이다. 기존 건축물을 철거 또는 부분 활용하여 새로운 도심복합건축물을 계획하여 획일적인 도심 주상복합/공동주택 개발의 대안을 제시한다.
성과물 : 배치도, 평입단면도, 투시도, 모델 등, 작업 스케일 1:500
Many residential and commercial complex developments are being carried out inside and outside the target site. The site is 2.4 ha of land and is characterized by the existing triangular urban organization. A new urban complex is planned by demolishing or partially utilizing existing buildings to suggest an alternative to the development of a uniform urban residential

Theme 4_철도지하화 및 상부개발 I Underground Railroad and Upper Development
경부선 철도를 지하화하고 그 상부를 Urban Landscape 관점에서 대안을 제시한다. 이를 통해 철도로 단절되는 대구 도심영역을 통합, 연결한다.
성과물 : 마스터플랜, 단면도, 조감도 및 투시도, 모형 등, 작업 스케일 1:1000
Underground the Gyeongbu Railway and suggest an alternative from the Urban Landscape perspective. Through this, the downtown area of Daegu, which is cut off by rail, is integrated and connected.
